I have heard through the grapevine that Maughan recently had heart surgery. My understanding is that there were some difficulties. If anyone has more info, please let me know. Otherwise, let's keep him in our prayers.

Here are some pictures Monica has emailed me of her kids. I thought they were a riot! I have often heard tales of what children will do to produce if left unattended, but here is photographic proof! I am also taking notes on the excellent recycling of an old diaper box for use as an amusement park style ride!

Daniel Selman is starting his Senior year at Copperhills High School this year and is playing for their football team. He had his first game on August 17th. Anyone is welcome to attend his games. I hope to attach a schedule as soon as I get it, but you can contact the Selmans before then.

On July 21st, Tyler Firth was married to Rachel Kae Reidy in the San Diego LDS temple. As you can tell by the picture, the entire Firth family was able to make it out to southern California. Congratulations Tyler!As for other Firth family news, Rex had surgery to remove his gall bladder early in July. He says the recovery is still in process, but was well enough to make it to the wedding.

Maughan was having trouble with his heart and was in pretty serious condition. Leah has informed me that he is now at home and doing much better - hooray!

Rex and Kathy HomeIn case you were unaware, Rex and Kathy have been serving a mission for the LDS church. They have been on the island of Cyprus for the last year-and-a-half.
